Nice list, I would add one very important thing:

Create a Schedule & Prioritize!

It’s so easy to lose track of time when you are 100% responsible for your own working schedule. It’s even harder when you work abroad. Once you have a schedule, organizing how you spend your time is probably the next most important task.
